Tuesday December 31 st 2019. Tonight, we close out the year. Tonight we close out a decade! So many people are posting photos reflecting on the last decade and it got me thinking back on mine… and, WOAH, what a journey!!! At the start of the decade, I was relatively new to living Stateside. I’d been here 8 months. I was married. I was full of excitement and promise of my new life in America with my ex. I’ve never really been one to plan far ahead so at that point, I didn’t know what I wanted my future to look like… but I’m pretty certain I wouldn’t have asked for what the next few years brought. The Condensed Version: Hi! My name is Kate.  I’m a Brit currently living in Denver, Colorado with my fianc é  and two pups. I own and  run  my own small business, offering Bookkeeping & Payroll services to small businesses in the Denver Metro area. I decided to start a blog to add my input to the online resources out there other business-minded peeps who are self-employed or looking to take the leap in to the world of self-employment, providing some guidance and tips from my own exp eriences and standpoint.  I also wanted and needed an outlet to express myself and write about my own personal life experiences, to talk about how all of these things blend together to form this so-called life.
